Enrollment Monitor
A polling-based watch view for recently returned Jamf computer inventory.
Enrollment Monitor is a live operational feed for Macs that appear in Jamf while the view is running. It is useful during rollout or testing windows when you want to watch for newly seen computers without repeatedly refreshing Jamf Pro.
Mac computers30-second pollingPoint-in-time watch view
What it shows
- The current list of returned Macs from the supported Jamf computer inventory path
- Devices first seen after monitoring started, marked as new for the current session
- Device name, serial number, model, OS version, and the returned enrolled date when Jamf exposes it
- Search and filtering by device name, serial number, or model
How it works
The view establishes a baseline, then polls every 30 seconds. Newly returned device IDs are highlighted as new this session. The app tries the Jamf computer preview path first and falls back to the Classic computer list when needed.
Why the baseline matters
Devices already present when you start monitoring are treated as known. The view is designed to highlight what appeared after the watch session began, not to reconstruct historical enrollment events from before that point.
Permissions and data source
- Read Computers is required.
- The preferred source is Jamf computer preview inventory.
- The Classic computer list is used as a fallback on older or less capable Jamf versions.
Coverage notes
- This is a monitor of returned Jamf computer inventory, not a full ADE or PreStage event log.
- When the view falls back to the Classic computer list, exact enrolled dates may be unavailable.
- The current view is computer-focused. It does not provide a parallel mobile-device enrollment feed.
- Historical enrollment failures and exact enrollment cause chains are outside the scope of this screen.
